This month, we begin to think about Valentine's Day. A day when people show love and adoration for people that are important. The truth of the matter is, there is only one individual that can show true, honest and genuine love...God. Without Him, it is impossible to show love to those around us.

We see in John 3:16 the ultimate display of what love is and If God is the only one that knows love, then I ask you, how can we show something we ourselves do not have. To put it more simply, We can display love but the only way to do it is if God is in control of your life. The only way God can be in control of your life is through the salvation of your soul "by grace through faith" (Ephesians 2:8).

Our church is beginning the Jerusalem Priority project through the month of February. Our first class session will be on during Sunday School on February 7th and will follow at the same time every Sunday throughout the month.

"Why is this relevant?" you may ask. This project will help believers in Christ see how to display love by spreading the gospel locally. We are called to spread the Gospel in "Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and utter most parts of the earth" (Acts 1:8).

What we will be focusing on is where our Jerusalem is. Your Jerusalem may be something different than mine, simply put, your home town. Our "Jerusalem" is Antioch, CA. Yours may be Berkeley, San Jose; Austin, TX; Salt Lake City, UT or even Sydney Australia. Wherever you find yourself, God is there and, if you are one of His children, He will carry you through everything.
